2022 R. Andrews Cabernet Sauvignon

Our inaugural R. Andrews Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfect balance of both power and finesse. This wine is dedicated to our grandfather, Robert Andrews, for his foresight in establishing the McKinley Springs Estate Vineyard in 1980 with sons Rob and Scott. Our family winery celebrates this heritage with wines that showcase the Horse Heaven Hills land we have nurtured for four generations.

Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

Location: Block 46 - Located in the soutwest corner of our estate vineyard. Clone 8; planded in 2005

Aging: Barrel aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak and 50% neutrla French oak barrels

...beautiful aromatics of black cherry, vanilla spice and créme de cassis with subtle hints of herbs de Provence and earth. The palate shows off our estate vineyards' trademark soft, powdery tannins with layers of cherry, cardamom spice and graphite.
