This inaugural release of Muscat Canelli was sourced from our Block 10. The fruit was harvested in two stages: some picked early to preserve natural acidity, and the rest harvested later to enhance sweetness and develop rich, ripe fruit aromas.

Barrel aged in 11% New French Oak and 11% New American Oak and 78% Neutral Oak Barrels

...beautiful aromatics of black cherry, vanilla spice and créme de cassis with subtle hints of herbs de Provence and earth. The palate shows off our estate vineyards' trademark soft, powdery tannins with layers of cherry, cardamom spice and graphite.

...intense dark aromatics of blackberry and plum...undertones of toast, creme brulee and lovely floral not of violet. On the palate it is very rich an d dense with concentrated flavors of juicy blueberry and mocha that lead to a very long silky finish. This a wonderful wine right now, but will definitely benefit from some bottle aging.

Aging: Barrel aged for 22 months in 76% new French oak and 24% neutral Frnch oak barrels

...showing a lot of complexity in both its aromatic profile as well as on the palate with its array of different flavors and textures. It opens with aromas of red cherries, plum and blueberry with undertones of graham cracker and clove. On the palate you get cola, red currant and sweet boysenberry syrup. Well structured with bold fruit that lingers on through the finish.
